Event Description:
The Rotary Club of Cottage Grove invites you to join them in a ribbon cutting for the completion of one of our 2021/22 District grants. We will be holding a dedication of the now completed Historical interpretive Kiosk. The structure and signage were funded through a district grant and tells the story of the iconic Swinging Bridge, along with the man who first built it, James Knox Polk Currin. On the other side there unfolds a description of the former town's commercial site, Slabtown. Parking is limited at Prospector Park or the Snapp House on River Road so you might consider parking in the neighborhood along 1st Street @ Madison Avenue.
