In frontier days the ability to grind ones grain for both human and livestock consumption can not be understated. Thus Cottage Grove's early mills had a big hand in establishing our infant town. Not only did the early mill provide a center to gather, but was the source for the first electricity Cottage Grove. Cottage Grove Museum board member Dana Merryday will present the talk on behalf of the Museum.
